To those who are concerned about education:
The
Chinese Information Literacy Association(CILA) was founded
on January 4, 2003 by the enthusiastic support and full
participation of many people. It is my honor to be elected
as chairman of the board that upholds my responsibility
to help achieve our goals in the future.
Education nowadays not only is a traditional literacy
program, it also helps equip learners with competencies
for recognizing needed information, effective searching,
judging and synthesizing, rather than being driven by
proliferating information. We hope to strategically develop
the ability of critical thinking for people and prepare
them for independent learning capabilities to improve
competitive advantage while facing this dynamic changing
environment.
I sincerely invite all of you to join CILA and support
our researches, activities, events, and promotion for
the development of information literacy in education and
in the work place. With your efforts, I expect a thriving
future for the next generation.
